BELLEVILLE, Ill.—The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to NCAA Division III foe Washington University (St. Louis) Sunday morning in the Screaming Eagles' first spring competition.
After winning all three doubles matches, Washington (1-0) won all six singles matches in straight sets to complete the sweep. Sophomore
Kymberly Brannon (Louisville, Ky.) pushed her opponent in number six singles in both the first and second sets, but eventually fell 6-4, 6-3.
The Screaming Eagles (4-1) return to action February 15 at 5:30 p.m. (CDT) when they host Walsh University at the Evansville Tennis Center.
