EVANSVILLE, Ind.---
The 22nd-ranked University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team is slated to play three matches in three days, starting with Indiana University Southeast Friday at noon followed by Ferris State University Saturday at 6 p.m., both of which will take place at the Evansville Tennis Center. The Screaming Eagles close out the weekend Sunday traveling to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (4-4) for a 1 p.m. match.

USI, 6-1 overall, broke its six-match winning streak, falling to Division I Austin Peay State University, 2-7, last week Saturday at home. The Eagles saw wins at No. 2 doubles with senior Santiago Lopez (Armenia, Columbia) and sophomore Jack Joyce (Bournemouth, England) defeating the Governors, 8-6, as well as No. 3 singles as Lopez walked away with a 7-6 (10-7), 6-3 upset.

The Grenadiers, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics institution and a member of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, fell 0-9 to the Eagles in 2012 and come to Evansville with a 1-1 overall record.

USI last saw Ferris Sate (2-3-3, overall) in the 2013 NCAA II Midwest Regional match, where it defeated the Bulldodgs, 5-0.
