EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The No. 22 University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team fell for the first time this season to Austin Peay State University, 7-2, Saturday night at the Evansville Tennis Center.

The Eagles fell behind early in doubles action, but salvaged a win in No. 2 doubles as senior
Santiago Lopez and sophomore
Jack Joyce earned the lone victory 8-6.

Lopez helped the Eagles again, this time in No. 3 singles, as the senior won 7-6 (10-7), 6-3. Lopez has won six of his last seven matches for USI.

Joyce battled in No. 2 singles in a lengthy contest eventually falling in 3 sets 6-7 (6-10), 6-3, 6-0.

Next for USI is a Friday afternoon contest on February 28 against Indiana University-Southeast at the Evansville Tennis Center.
