Eagles make quick work of William Jewell

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 40th ranked and top seed University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team swept doubles and won No. 2 and 3 singles en route to the 5-0 victory over fourth seed William Jewell College Friday afternoon in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.
 
The No. 2 doubles team of senior Ben Boesing and freshman Jack Joyce ran their winning streak to 11 straight matches with an 8-2 win.
 
Senior Juan Quiroz and sophomore Michael Kuzaj have won three straight after downing Bryan Thomas and Shane Giannetti 8-5. The No. 3 doubles team, of seniors Rodrigo Flores and Santiago Lopez have won eight consecutive after winning their match 8-3.
 
Quiroz took the fourth point for USI with a 6-0, 6-1 win, while Lopez wrapped up the match with the 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles.
 
The Eagles are now 14-4 and await the winner of the match between the University of Indianapolis and the University of Missouri – St. Louis. USI plays the winner of that match at 3 p.m. (CDT).
