EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the third straight week the 40
th ranked University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team remains second in the NCAA Midwest Region rankings released Wednesday.
The Screaming Eagles are behind the regions top ranked team, Drury University. The Panthers are 11-1 in the region have won nine straight, while USI is 9-1 and ran its winning streak to eight matches.
This season, USI has won 111 singles matches, led by senior
Ben Boesing, who is 22-3, while classmate
Juan Quiroz is 20-8. Boesing and freshman
Jack Joyce are 10-0 in doubles, while the Eagles are 61-19 overall.
USI begins the postseason Friday at 11:30 a.m. (EDT) when its plays William Jewell College in the first round of the GLVC Tennis Championship Tournament.
