EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team announced the addition of nine new players for the 2013 season, eight signing national letters of intent.

Courtney Lofland (Indianapolis, Indiana); defenders
Gabrielle Korte (St. Louis, Missouri) and
Katie Wilson (Fishers, Indiana); midfielders
Erica Hale (Evansville, Indiana) and
Natalie Geiger (Norwood, Ohio); and forwards
Taylor Carter (Brownsburg, Indiana),
Olivia Myers (Washington, Indiana), and
Kaelin Martlock (Bay City, Michigan). The Screaming Eagles also added Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis transfer
Stacey DePriest (Fishers, Indiana), a redshirt freshman goalkeeper.

Krissy Engelbrecht. “They bring great qualities both on and off the field, yet bring something different to the team and fit in perfectly with the returning core of players. These new players come from successful soccer backgrounds and immediately make our roster more athletic and deeper.”
Biographical information on the signees:
Carter: A senior at Brownsburg High School (Brownsburg, IN), lettering in soccer…earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2009, while leading BHS in scoring in 2011 and 2012…helped BHS to three sectional titles (2009, 2010, 2012) and a pair of regional crowns in (2009 and 2010)…member of the Indiana Olympic Development Program State Team in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
DePriest: Redshirted during the 2012 season by IUPUI…was a four-year varsity performer at Hamilton Southeastern High School (Fishers, Indiana)…a two-time ISCA All-State performer, earning second-team in 2010 and first-team in 2011…earned the HSE Most Valuable Player Defense award after setting record for shutouts in a season (15) and a career (38)…member of the Fishers Soccer Club that was the 2007 Indiana State Cup finalist and the FC Pride that was the finalist in 2010.
Geiger: A senior at Norwood High School (Norwood, Ohio), lettering in soccer, track, and cross country…a three-time soccer Most Valuable Player…earned first-team All-SBAAC in soccer in 2012, while being selected for first-team All-FAVC in 2010 and 2011…named second team All-FAVC for soccer and first-team All-FAVC in cross country in 2009.
Hale: A senior at North High School (Evansville, Indiana)…lettered in soccer and track …earned honorable mention All-State honor in 2012, along with first-team All-District and All-SIAC awards in 2012…named first-team All-City in 2010 and 2011…also was selected for second team All-SIAC honors in 2011…a four-time All-Academic performer (2009-12) and was named Academic All-State in 2012
Korte: A senior at Oakville Senior High School (St. Louis, Missouri), lettering in soccer and field hockey…named OHS Best Defender as a sophomore and junior…earned second-team All-Conference honors as a junior in 2012....senior season will be during the spring.
Lofland: A senior at Ben Davis High School (Indianapolis, Indiana), lettering in soccer…named third-team All-State in 2011, while earning All-District honors in 2012…selected as the ISCA Top Team Player in 2010 and 2012…a four-time All-Conference performer and earned All-County honors in 2011 and 2012…will represent the United States in the international soccer “United World Games” in Austria this summer.
Martlock: A senior at Valley Lutheran High School (Saginaw, Michigan)…a two-time third-team All-State performer in addition to being named All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region as a freshman, sophomore, and junior....senior season will be during the spring.
Myers: A senior at Washington High School (Washington, Indiana), lettering in soccer…a two-time All-Big 8 selection (2011 and 2012)…earned WHS Most Improved Player in 2010…helped WHS to the Indiana State Finals in 2009…member of the SWISA Rush state finalist team in 2009 and the state championship team in 2010.
Wilson: A senior at Hamilton Southeastern High School (Fishers, Indiana…the HSE Defensive Player of the Year in 2012…helped FC Pride 95 Elite to a sixth place showing in the 2011 Indiana State Cup and the semifinals in 2012.
