SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team bowed out of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a 5-0 loss to 22
nd-ranked Drury University Friday morning in Springfield, Missouri. Drury was hosting the tournament at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
The Screaming Eagles could not get on track against the Panthers, losing the three doubles matches to fall behind 3-0 early. Drury clinched the victory by winning at number one and two singles in straight sets and was leading at three, four, and five singles when the match was called.
USI, which was the fourth seed from the GLVC East Division, finishes the year 8-11 overall. The Eagles also concluded the regular season conference schedule with a 3-3 mark.
