INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana junior Ben Boesing (Floyds Knobs, IN) has been named the GLVC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. He is the second Screaming Eagle to earn the award this spring, joining two-time honoree and USI sophomore Santiago Lopez (Armenia, Columbia).

Last week, Boesing was responsible for two of the Eagles' first three points in their 5-4 victory over Lewis University. He combined with fellow junior Rodrigo Flores (Mexico City, Mexico) to post an 8-1 victory at number three doubles that gave USI a 2-1 lead after the first three matches. Boesing went on to increase the early lead to 3-1 by claiming a straight-set victory at number three singles.

This season, Boesing has a team-high 21-4 singles record and has combined with two different doubles partners to record a 15-9 doubles mark. He also has won nine of his last 10 singles matches, including a team-best six in a row.
