SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team was shutout by Drury University, 5-0, in the GLVC Tournament championship match Saturday in Springfield, Missouri. USI falls to 19-4 overall, while Drury goes to 15-5 in 2009-10.
In the match, Drury took control of the match early by sweeping the three doubles matches. The Panthers sealed the match with a pair of straight set wins at number one and two singles.
The Screaming Eagles will look to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament, which will be announced April 28. The Eagles could be making their first appearance in the NCAA II Tournament since 2005 and their seventh in the history of the program.
