EVANSVILLE, Ind. –University of Southern Indiana sophomore forward Austin Andrekus (St. Charles, Illinois) scored with 1:12 remaining to lift the Screaming Eagles to a 3-2 victory over Oakland City University Wednesday evening at Strassweg Field. USI rises to 8-6-0 overall, while OCU falls to 6-4-0 in 2010.
Andrekus scored the game-winning goal off a cross from freshman forward Kory Clawson (Florissant, Missouri). Andrekus' sixth goal of the season tied him with senior forward Simon Rawnsley (England) for the team lead.

Ben Dempsey (Evansville, Indiana) won his fifth game of the year by making three second half saves.
In the first half, OCU got on the scoreboard quickly with a goal 1:38 into the match. The Eagles responded shortly before halftime when Rawnsley found the back of net for the sixth time this season off a pass down the middle of the field from senior midfielder
Michael Simcock (England). The teams would go into the intermission deadlocked at 1-1.
The team battled back-and-forth for most of the second half until Clawson gave USI a brief 2-1 lead at 72:28. Clawson scored his first collegiate goal at USI off a pass from Andrekus.
The Mighty Oaks fought back to tie the score, 2-2, with a tally at 78:09, setting the stage for Andrekus and Clawson in the final minutes.
Overall, USI outshot the Mighty Oaks, 18-10, and had the advantage in corner kicks, 6-3.
The Eagles conclude the first half of the four-game homestand Sunday at noon when they host the University of Missouri-St. Louis. UMSL , which is 6-5-2, 4-4-2 GLVC, plays at Kentucky Wesleyan College on Friday afternoon before visiting USI.
