EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the second time this season to take on Marquette University on Saturday, September 12, at 1 p.m.

USI (0-2-2) is coming off a 2-1 loss to Bellarmine University on Tuesday evening. The Screaming Eagles scored their first goal of the season at home, but the Knights' 15 shots proved to be too much for USI.
 
Sophomore midfielder Edin Cvorovic led the stat sheet with the team's first goal of the season at home on his only shot of the contest. He was followed by junior midfielder Ahiro Nakamae, sophomore midfielder Nolan Stevens, and sophomore forward Kadiri Bello, all of whom each took one shot. Sophomore goalkeeper Jacob English made seven saves in the game, bringing his season total to 22.
 
The road trip to Marquette is the start of a four-game away stretch.  USI will play Marquette
(9/12), Evansville (9/15), Belmont (9/18), and SIUE (9/26) on the trip. Both of the results this season have come from away trips (Milwaukee & Northern Kentucky).
 
Marquette (4-1-1) shut out St. Thomas University 2-0 on Wednesday evening, scoring on a penalty kick in the 33' and also scoring a goal in the 73'. Marquette had the shot advantage 11 to 9.
 
This season, the Golden Eagles' only loss came from a 3-1 loss to a top 25 team, Wisconsin. Marquette's leading goal scorer for this season is freshman Tomiwa Adewumi with five goals and one assist, followed by junior forward Mads Konrad Horgøien with four goals and three assists. In goal for the Golden Eagles is Cameron Simpson, who has allowed eight goals this season and has 18 saves.
 
Saturday's meeting is the third between the two teams, with the all-time series being tied 1-1. The last showing was in 1994, when Marquette got the best of the Screaming Eagles, winning 2-1.
