The University of Southern Indiana tennis team raised its record to 8-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with an 8-1 win over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at the USI Tennis Courts Friday afternoon.
In the victory, senior number-five player Ethan Davis (Sullivan, Indiana) tied the all-time USI record for singles wins with the 73rd of his four-year career. He ties Jeremy Richie, who set the record last season.
For the spring, Davis leads the Eagles with a 13-6 overall record, 4-0 in the GLVC.
The Screaming Eagles continue GLVC action on Saturday when they host the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 9 a.m. and Quincy University at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6.
