EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Softball was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) for its academic success in 2025-26.
Collectively, USI Softball ranked in the top 15 among NCAA Division I programs with a 3.75 team GPA in 2025-26.
Additionally, 18 Screaming Eagles were named Easton/NFCA Academic All-America Scholar-Athletes.
Abbey Booher, Lilly Brown, Maddison Depencier, Jinnis Gerth, Julianna Hibbs, Grace Huffman, Mia Kiegel, Anna Kemp, Jordan Mackey, Katelyn Marx, Olivia Money, Alyssa Mumaw, Elly Robbins, Kate Satkoski, Caroline Stapleton, Shelby Stivers, Jadyn Tinsley, and
Kylie Witthaus were recognized on the list.
The student-athletes were among many collegiate student-athletes honored in all divisions. Member head coaches submit their team GPAs and scholar-athletes. The award goes to those who earned at least a 3.5 GPA.
On the field, USI went 15-32 overall and 11-16 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Screaming Eagles made a fourth-straight appearance in the OVC Championship Tournament.
