Stan Gouard announced the addition of 6-foot-9 senior forward
Didier Maleng to the Screaming Eagles' 2026-27 roster.
A native of Kinshasa, Congo, Maleng comes to the Screaming Eagles after spending the 2025-26 season at Denver University, where he played in 27 games.
During his season with the Pioneers, Maleng averaged 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game. He scored a season-high 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting in Denver's win over the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and had a Division I season-high of six points and three rebounds in the Pioneer's win over South Dakota.
Prior to his time in Denver, Maleng played in 36 games, making five starts at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. He averaged 4.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per contest.
Maleng began his collegiate career at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, where played in 29 games and made three starts. He averaged 5.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 19.0 minutes of action per game, including a career-high 23 points at Richard J. Daley College.
During his prep career, Maleng helped lead Lawton Christian High School (Oklahoma) to a pair of state championships in 2019 and 2020.
