Donovan Hunter has signed to play for the Screaming Eagles in 2026-27.
Hunter joins a list of newcomers that includes 6-foot-6 senior guard
LA Hayes, 6-foot-9 sophomore guard
Ebrahim Kaba and 6-foot-10 junior forward/center
Johann Pautsch.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Hunter spent the 2025-26 season at Bellarmine University, where he played in 30 games as a junior. Hunter averaged 4.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.5 minutes of playing time for the Knights last season.
Hunter reached double-figures in the scoring column twice, including a career-high 14 points and six rebounds in the Knight's overtime win over Central Arkansas last January.
Prior to Bellarmine, Hunter spent two seasons at Kent State University, where he averaged 1.3 points in 26 games throughout the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
During his prep career, Hunter played at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio, where Lamelo Ball and Isaiah Jackson played. He previously attended Westerville Central High School, just outside of Columbus, where he was a state runner-up as a sophomore in 2021 and averaged double-figures as a junior.
