EVANSVILLE, Ind. — University of Southern Indiana Baseball wraps up the 2026 regular season with a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series versus Lindenwood University this week at the USI Baseball Field. The series starts Thursday at 6 p.m., continues Friday at 5 p.m., and concludes Sunday at 2 p.m.
Thursday night is D-Patrick Appreciation Night at the USI Baseball Field, Friday's game is West Side Nut Club Night, while Saturday's contest is Senior Day.
USI (25-26, 8-16 OVC) is still in possession of the eighth OVC postseason by the tie-breaker with Western Illinois University. To clinch the spot, USI needs to finish tied with or one game ahead of WIU in the final three games of the season. WIU hosts Eastern Illinois University this weekend.
The Screaming Eagles could finish as high as seventh if they sweep Lindenwood and finish tied with UT Martin.

USI has hard week at SEMO. The USI Screaming Eagles had a tough week at Southeast Missouri State University, dropping all three to the Skyhawks. USI rallies fell short in games one and three, losing 7-5 and 9-6, and lost the middle game, 11-1.
Road trip leaders. Graduate outfielder
Jesse Velders led USI in a limited role by hitting .750 (3-4), while senior catcher/designated hitter
Micajah Wall batted .455 (5-11). Senior outfielder

Drue Saenz led the run production with three RBI each.
First 26/Last 25 games for USI. USI was 17-9 in the first 26 games of the season with a team batting average of .307 (271-883) and an ERA of 5.03. Hitting at home/on the road. The USI hitters have been cool while on the road this season. The Screaming Eagles are batting .310 (234-756) in 23 home games this year, while hitting .280 (270-964) in the 28 road games.
Pitching at home vs. on the road. USI hurlers are 18-5 at home with a 4.70 ERA, while going 7-18 on the road with a 6.71 ERA.
Multi Games. Senior first baseman
Patrick McLellan leads the Screaming Eagles with 20 multi-hit games this year. McLellan also leads the team with 13 multi-RBI contests.
Lindenwood in 2026. The Lindenwood Lions are 28-23 overall and 12-12 OVC this spring. Lindenwood, which has won three of its last four, is scheduled to visit Indiana State Tuesday before coming to USI.
