EVANSVILLE, Ind. — University of Southern Indiana Baseball completes its four-game homestand Wednesday by hosting the University of Evansville at the USI Baseball Field. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
Following Wednesday's non-conference matchup, USI, which is 22-18 overall and 6-9 in the Ohio Valley Conference, returns conference action by traveling to Morehead State University for a three-game series and the start of a four-game road swing. The series starts Friday at 5 p.m. (CDT); continues Saturday at 2 p.m. (CDT); and concludes Sunday at noon (CDT).
USI's four-game road swing ends April 29 with a visit to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The next homestand for the Screaming Eagles is May 1-3 when USI hosts Tennessee Tech University for a three-game OVC series. USI will be at home two of the three conference weekends in May.

Ramirez wins #400. USI Head Coach
Chris Ramirez recorded his 400th career win Sunday in the Screaming Eagles' win over UT Martin.
USI has winning week. The USI Screaming Eagles got back on track last week by taking two of three from UT Martin at the USI Baseball Field. The Screaming Eagles lost the opener, 10-1, but bounced back to take the second game, 4-2, and the finale, 10-3. Game two win Saturday snapped USI's five-game winning streak, while the finale win gave the Screaming Eagles a series win for the first time since the OVC opening weekend.
Gonzalez out of the bullpen. Senior right-hander
Andres Gonzalez is doing the job out of the bullpen this season for USI. Gonzalez earned a pair of saves last week, tying him with graduate right-hander
Nathan Anderson for the team lead with four saves this spring. In the last 10 games, Gonzalez has made seven appearances that have resulted in three saves and a 3.68 ERA in 7.1 innings of work.

UE in 2026. The Purple Aces are 15-22 overall and 8-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference after taking two of three from Belmont University this weekend.
USI vs. UE. The Aces lead the all-time series with the Screaming Eagles, 36-32, after the two programs split the season series last season, 2-2.
MSU in 2026. Morehead State is 18-21 overall and 5-10 in the OVC after being swept by Lindenwood University last weekend. The MSU Eagles have 2-5 in the last seven games.
USI vs. MSU. Morehead State leads the all-time series with USI, 6-4, after the Screaming Eagles swept the three-game set last year in Evansville.
