INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Golf finished the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday afternoon. The team finished 12th out of 12 teams, tallying an overall team score of 897.

Round 1
The Screaming Eagles opened the competition with two golfers fighting for par. Graduate Student
Wade Worthington topped the first-round scorecard with a 71 (+1) stroke performance, barely beating out teammate senior
Carter Goebel, who nabbed a 72 (+2) score.

Junior
Hunter Reynolds and sophomore
Chandler Ornelas rounded out the scoring with Reynolds notching a 76 (+6) and Ornelas scoring 79 (+9) first-round scores.

For the individuals competing, freshman
Ingtawan Wangrungwichaisri scored an impressive 73 (+3), while sophomore
Alex Peck shot a 77 (+7).

Round 2
The first day of competition continued with the second round. Goebel led the team with a 73 (+3) round score, two strokes ahead of Ornelas, who tabbed a 75 (+5). Worthington and freshman
Weston Hardy rounded out the scoring, each shooting a 76 (+6).

The individuals continued their tournament with Wangrungwichaisri scoring 76 (+6) and Peck scoring a 77 (+7).

Round 3
The Eagles closed out the competition with Goebel atop the leaderboard once again, shooting 73 (+3) for the second consecutive round. Ornelas continued his impressive tournament with a 74 (+4) final round, with Worthington one stroke behind, shooting a 75 (+5).

Individually, Peck tied Goebel's score, hitting a 73 (+3) while Wangrungwichaisri tabbed another 76 (+6).

USI will be back on the course at the Murray Racer Intercollegiate on April 6-7 in Paducah, Kentucky. The team will then conclude their regular season on April 12-13 in the Wright State Invitational.
