EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Basketball continues its four-game road stretch on Tuesday when the Screaming Eagles head to Morehead State University for a 4 p.m. CT tipoff in Morehead, Kentucky.

USI Women's Basketball (19-8, 13-5 OVC) enters the final week of the regular season with two games left before the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The Screaming Eagles sit third in the OVC standings, having already clinched an OVC Tournament berth and at least a first-round bye. USI is one game back of a potential double-bye spot and two games back at a potential co-share of the OVC regular-season championship. Western Illinois University is in first place, with Lindenwood sitting in second place.
USI is coming off a road win last game out at Eastern Illinois University on Saturday, winning 72-63. The Screaming Eagles got off to a fast start in the contest and shot for over 46 percent in the game. Senior guard
Ali Saunders led USI with 26 points, her 10
th 20-point outing of the season. Junior forward
Chloe Gannon posted her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The two Eagles ended up averaging 15.5 and 13.5 points per game, respectively, across USI's two games last week.
On the season, Saunders continues to pace USI and ranks second in the OVC in scoring at 17.5 points per game, while averaging 19 points per contest during OVC play. Gannon is second on the team with 13.1 points per contest.
USI heads into Tuesday's matchup at Morehead State looking to complete its sixth OVC regular-season series sweep. The Screaming Eagles defeated Morehead State in the first weekend of OVC play at home, 78-59, on December 20. Saunders led USI in that game with a career-high 35 points. The win was USI's sixth consecutive win in the series history, which the Screaming Eagles lead 6-1.
Since USI and Morehead State last met in mid-December, Morehead State had a pair of winning streaks of five or more games. The Eagles have won two of the last three games, but are coming off a 74-53 loss at Western Illinois on Saturday.
Three players are averaging double figures for Morehead State, with graduate forward Kate Dike leading the way with 14.7 points per game. Dike also tops the squad with over seven rebounds per game. Senior guards Laura Toffali and Marie Sepp are second and third, respectively, in scoring at 11.7 and 10.3 points per game. The Eagles are collectively averaging 65 points on offense and defense.
Following Tuesday's contest at Morehead State, the Screaming Eagles wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a road trip to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Saturday's tipoff is slated for 1 p.m.
