EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Basketball announced its schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
 
This year's 31-game schedule (15 non-conference and 16 Ohio Valley Conference games) starts on November 2 inside Liberty Arena, home of the Screaming Eagles, when USI hosts Murray State University.
 
"This schedule is, without question, one of the toughest schedules we could possibly put together!" USI Women's Basketball Head Coach Rick Stein stated. "We have four power-four teams who are consistently in the top 25 and even top 10 in the country, as well as mid-major programs that are winning their conferences or at the top year in and year out."
 
USI will play 15 home games, including a visit by the University of Louisville on November 8 as the first Atlantic Coast Conference squad to come to Liberty Arena. Other notable first-time visitors in USI's home non-conference schedule include Miami University (Ohio) (November 20), East Tennessee State University (December 13), and Loyola University Chicago (December 20).
 
"I am very excited again for our fans to have eight non-conference home games in November and December, including women's basketball powerhouse Louisville in Liberty Arena on November 8," Stein added.
 
The remaining non-conference home slate features Spalding University (Ky.) (November 12), Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (November 15), Indiana University Southeast (November 17), and Brescia University (Ky.) (December 6).
 
USI's road trips during non-conference play are highlighted by three stops against power-conference programs: Kansas State University (November 5), Indiana University (November 22), and the University of Michigan (November 30). The Screaming Eagles will also travel once again to Northern Kentucky University (November 25) and visit Middle Tennessee State University (December 3) and Arkansas State University (December 22).
 
"We built this non-conference schedule to help us prepare for an extremely tough OVC schedule beginning on December 31 at home against Tennessee State University," Stein said.
 
The 16-game OVC schedule begins on New Year's Eve at home when the TSU Tigers come to town. The conference slate again features women's-men's doubleheaders with staggered scheduling between home and road contests this year.
 
The rest of the OVC home slate also consists of games against Lindenwood University (January 7), Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (January 21), Western Illinois University (January 23), Morehead State University (January 30), Southeast Missouri State University (February 6), the University of Tennessee at Martin (February 18), and Eastern Illinois University (February 20).
 
The Screaming Eagles' first OVC road trip will be on January 2 at Southeast Missouri State. The other OVC road dates are at UT Martin on January 9, Morehead State on January 13, Tennessee State on January 28, Eastern Illinois on February 4, Lindenwood on February 13, Western Illinois on February 25, and SIU Edwardsville on February 27.
 
After the regular-season finale at SIUE, the conference season culminates again at the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championships at Ford Center in downtown Evansville, March 3-6.
 
Season tickets for the general public will go on sale in September, with single-game tickets on sale later in the fall.
