EVANSVILLE, Ind.- USI Volleyball freshman Aysa Thomas is named the Ohio Valley Conference's Setter of the Week for the second week in a row.

Thomas' performance, which led to USI taking both wins, moving to 4-8 for the season, in the series against the crosstown rival University of Evansville, got her the honor. The freshman tallied 87 assists, 25 digs, four kills, and three blocks in the two wins last week.

On the road at Evansville, she dished out 53 assists to her offense, leading the team to a season high hitting percentage of .349, the highest a USI team has had in a game had since November 16, 2023, in a win against University of Tennessee at Martin at home.

At Evansville, Thomas tallied 10 digs too, to record her fourth double-double of the season. She snuck in three kills, helping to swing the momentum in pivotal times.

In the first annual Battle for the Lloyd match in Liberty Arena, Thomas maintained her strong performance, picking up another 15 digs to tie her career high. She dished out 34 assists and two blocks. The freshman marked her fifth career double-double in the second win against UE, winning the final point for the Eagles with a kill at the net.
