EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Golf and Head Coach
Ryan Chandler have announced the addition of Ingtawan Wangrungwichaisri to the Screaming Eagles' roster in 2025-26.
Ingtawan Wangrungwichaisri (Chiangmai, Thailand), out of Chiangmai High School, is an MC Elite Award winner for outstanding student-athlete achievement and was named Northern Thai Junior Golf Club Player of the Year in 2024. He has competed in the Asia Pacific Amateur Open and been a member of the Chiangmai Junior Golf Team for the last three years. Wangrungwichaisri has ranked as high as #323 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
In 2023, Wangrungwichaisri was a Junior Asian Tour first runner-up with a three-round score of 211 (74, 68, 69) and the Thailand Golf Association Upper North Champion with a 214 (71, 73, 70). He followed in 2024 with two championships at the TKG STCC International Championship with a 218 (73, 72, 73) and at the Junior Golf Series Southern Region Championship with a 214 (75, 71, 68). Wangrungwichaisri registered a made cut at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship with a 72-hole 297 (73, 74, 74, 76). He also had a 72-hole score of 288 (76, 69, 67, 76) at the Thailand National Youth Game in 2024, helping his team to tie for second while placing tied for sixth on the player leaderboard. In 2025, Wangrungwichaisri helped his Thailand National Game team tie for fourth while finishing tied for fourth individually with a four-round total of 289 (72, 75, 72, 70).

Ryan Chandler said. "He has established himself as a highly ranked world amateur, and I am excited to have him as a part of our USI Men's Golf family. I believe he will accomplish great things within our program individually and significantly contribute to our team goals and success."
Wangrungwichaisri joins a talented roster that already includes two signees from the fall signing class,
Ben Christian and
Weston Hardy.
USI Men's Golf concluded its 2024-25 campaign with a sixth-place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship. The Eagles had a pair of top-five finishers on the player leaderboard in seniors
Jason Bannister and
Sam Vertanen. USI's best team finish in the spring season was third at the Tennessee State University Big Blue Intercollegiate.
