WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Swimming and Diving finished sixth out of 10 teams at the Dan Ross Indiana Intercollegiates hosted by Purdue University Saturday afternoon in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The Screaming Eagles started strong with two top ten placements in the one-meter dive: sophomore
Anna Bunnell took sixth with a score of 233.25, while junior
Maranda Uttke was tenth with a 208.30.

Bunnell stunned again in the three-meter dive, finishing fourth overall with an impressive 231.70 score. Sophomore
Gabbie Meier also placed in the top ten with a 216.95, while Uttke finished 11th, scoring a 193.50.

USI Swimmers recorded multiple top 20 finishes. In her collegiate debut, freshman
Hannah Pryor finished the 100 breaststroke in 59.25 seconds. The freshman also recorded a top 20 finish with a time of 59.25 seconds in the 100 backstroke. Sophomore
Emma Gabhart finished 17th in the 100 Individual Medley with a time of 1:00.30.

Hayden Shurtz tallied the best USI swimming finish of the day, taking 13th place with a time of 1 minute, 6.82 seconds in the 100 Breaststroke. Gabhart finished four spots behind Shurtz, securing 17th place in 1 minute, 7.77 seconds.

The Eagles return to the pool on October 18 for a four-team versus match in Indianapolis, Indiana. USI will be facing off against Indiana University Indianapolis, the University of Evansville, and Valparaiso University at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IU Indy.
