ST. LOUIS, Mo./CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana Men's Track and Field competed in the Washington University Distance Carnival at St. Louis University on Thursday and Friday. USI also competed in the Joey Haines Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Missouri hosted by Southeast Missouri State University on Friday and Saturday.
Senior
Mitchell Hopf (Santa Claus, Indiana) ran a 1500-meter time of 3:59.25 to start the meet. Junior
Brady Terry finished 36
th among 278 participants in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:51.48.
At the Joey Haines Invitational, junior
James Butler (Evansville, Indiana) kicked things off with a 200-meter time of 23.45. Freshman
Muhiyadin Ali (Chicago, Illinois) placed tenth with a 800-meter time of 2:00.70. Freshman
Gabe Land (Newburgh, Indiana) was right behind with a 12
th place finish at 2:01.29.
