EVANSVILLE, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana Track & Field has announced its 2025 indoor and outdoor schedules. The Screaming Eagles will participate in their third season of NCAA Division I competition, with the indoor season starting January 10 and the outdoor season beginning March 27.
Indoor Season
The Eagles begin their indoor season with trips to two Power Five schools. First, they will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, on January 10-11 to participate in the Commodore Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University. A week later, USI will compete in the Indiana Invitational hosted by Indiana University in Bloomington.
Next, USI has a three-meet stint in Louisville, Kentucky, kicking off with the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on January 24. The Eagles will then compete in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville, on January 31 and February 1. Finally, USI will take part in the Eastern Indoors hosted by KTCCA at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on February 7.
USI makes a quick turn round, heading north to compete in the Fairgrounds Invitational at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis February 8.
The team then treks to the Northeast, competing in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University February 14-15.
The indoor season closes with two competitions in Indiana. The first is the Blue-White Classic hosted by Indiana State University on February 15. The second is the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championship in Indianapolis on February 25-26.
Outdoor Season
USI begins its outdoor season with student-athletes competing in one of three events. The first one is the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, March 27-29. The next possibility is the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Missouri March 27-28. The third is the Pacesetter Sports Invitational hosted by Indiana State University in Terre Haute on March 29.
The Eagles stop at OVC rival Southeast Missouri State University for the Joey Haines Invitational on April 4-5, before returning to Louisville for the Jim Vargo Invitational hosted by Bellarmine.
The final stretch of the season starts with a trip to the West Coast, where the Eagles will participate in the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University in California on April 16-18. USI then travels Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the Drake Relays on April 23-26.
USI returns to Louisville participating in the Clark Wood Invitational hosted by Louisville on April 25-26. Then the team travels to Bloomington, Indiana for the regular season finale at the Billy Hayes Invitational.
The season concludes with the OVC Outdoor Championship hosted by Tennessee State University in Nashville on May 15-17. University of Arkansas-Little Rock won the men's competition and SEMO finished atop the women's in 2024.
