INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Track & Field concluded a busy weekend where the Screaming Eagles took on two meets including the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky, and the IUPUI Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Three different Eagles earned personal bests in the 3,000 meters at the IUPUI Invitational. Freshman
Cole Hess (Cannelton, Indiana) took home fifth place with a time of eight minutes and 43.90 seconds. Behind Hess were freshman
Tyler Zimmerman (Evansville, Indiana) and senior
Draven Thompson (Huntertown, Indiana) who finished seventh and ninth, respectively. Zimmerman crossed the line at 8:50.09 while Thompson's season-best time of 8:55.44 secured a top-10 finish.
In the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, seniors
Noah Hufnagel (Santa Claus, Indiana) and
Mitchell Hopf (Santa Claus, Indiana) each earned top-15 finishes in the 3,000 meters. Hufnagels' time of 8:18.46 was good for 11th place while Hopf crossed the line at 8:22.23 to earn 15th place.

The Eagles head back to Bellarmine University for the PNC Bellarmine Classic on February 2.
