EVANSVILLE, Ind. — University of Southern Indiana Baseball hits the road this weekend for a non-conference series at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. The series, which was originally scheduled for Friday through Sunday, has been changed to a noon doubleheader Saturday and a noon single game Sunday due to the weather forecast of rain on Friday.

The Eagles return to the friendly surroundings of the USI Baseball Field March 23 when they host Maryville University for a 6 p.m. non-conference game. Following the Eagles-Saints midweek match-up, USI will be away from home for the next four games with visits to Delta State University (March 25-27) and Maryville (March 29).
USI Baseball Notes:
USI vs. Drury: The Eagles and the Panthers last met in 2019 when Drury took two-of-three in the opening weekend of GLVC play. USI has had the upper-hand for most of the series, leading 22-10.
Drury in 2022: Drury is 13-4 this spring and has lost its last three contests entering the all-time series with USI.
Eagles in 2022: USI is 9-5 overall, four-games over .500 which is one short of its season best. The Eagles also are 5-3 overall versus ranked teams in 2022.
Eagle Leaders: USI junior infielder/catcher
Lucas McNew (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) leads the Eagles with a .415 batting average; six doubles; three home runs; and 23 RBIs. He also is third on the team with 15 runs scored. Senior shortstop
Ethan Hunter (Terre Haute, Indiana) follows McNew with two home runs and 12 RBIs.
On the mound, senior right-hander
Brice Stuteville (Rockport, Indiana) and sophomore right-hander
Trent Robinson (Louisville, Kentucky) have a team-best two wins each. Stuteville also has a 0.98 ERA and a team-high three saves in six outings as a reliever and starter.

Ethan Hunter continues to move up the all-time lists for USI. Hunter ranks first in triples (16); 11th total bases (303); tied for 12th in RBIs (126) and tied for 13th in home runs (16); tied for 11th in runs scored (146); 17th in hits (195); and 25th in doubles (28).
