EVANSVILLE, Ind.—For the third straight week, the forecast of rain is altering University of Southern Indiana Softball's weekend schedule. The Screaming Eagles' Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader against William Jewell College Sunday in Liberty, Missouri, is being moved to Friday at 1 p.m.
USI (21-13, 9-3 GLVC), which begins the weekend in first-place in the GLVC standings, also visits Rockhurst University Saturday at noon.
All four games thsi weekend will be aired on 95.7 The Spin, while the GLVC Sports Network is scheduled to carry Friday's games against William Jewell. Live stats, video and audio links can be accessed at GoUSIEagles.com.
USI Softball Notes
• Eagles go 3-1 last week. USI Softball went 3-1 last week, splitting a home doubleheader with Quincy Sunday before sweeping a twinbill from Truman State Monday.
• Last week's leaders. As a team, USI hit .287, with three players batting over .400 on the week. Senior outfielder/pitcher

• In the circle. Junior pitcher
Jennifer Leonhardt paced the Eagles in the circle last week with a 2-0 record, a save, a 0.00 ERA, a .159 opponent batting average and 21 strikeouts. Bradley also had a 0.00 ERA with a .188 opponent batting average, but was 0-1 on the week, while senior pitcher
Haylee Smith went 1-0.
• Leonhardt named GLVC Pitcher of the Week, again. Leonhardt earned GLVC Pitcher of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks following her performance against Quincy and Truman State. She also was named GLVC Pitcher of the Week for her efforts in USI's wins over McKendree and Illinois Springfield three weeks ago.
• Streaks end. Leonhardt saw a pair of lengthy streaks come to an end in USI's 3-2 loss to Missouri-St. Louis. The game marked the first time in more than 35 innings that Leonhardt had issued a walk and the first time in 34.1 innings of work that she had allowed a run.
• Leonhardt continues to shut down opposing batters. Leonhardt has recorded seven shutouts in her eight starts and has taken a no-hitter into the sixth inning in three of those starts.
• Webb ties record. Sophomore outfielder
Alicia Webb tied a school record for triples in a game (2) when she had back-to-back triples in the first and second innings of USI's 7-0 game-one win over Illinois Springfield.
• Johnson named GLVC Player of Week. Johnson was named the GLVC Player of the Week for her efforts in USI's final week at The Spring Games. In addition to her .538 batting average, Johnson had a .613 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. She drew five walks and struck out just two times as the Eagles went 5-3.
• NFCA Top 25. The University of Indianapolis (No. 17) is the only team from the GLVC that is in this week's Top 25, while No. 6 Grand Valley State (GLIAC) and No. 20 Wayne State (GLIAC) are the only other Midwest Region teams inside the Top 25. Ashland (GLIAC) is receiving votes outside the Top 25.
• Offensive leaders. Johnson leads the Eagles in batting average (.416), triples (5), home runs (4), on-base percentage (.520), runs scored (33) and RBIs (26). Leonhardt is hitting .356 with a team-best 12 sacrifices, while sophomore outfielder

• Leonhardt leading Eagles in circle. Leonhardt leads the Eagles with an 13-4 record, three saves, a 1.37 ERA, a .179 opponent batting average and 134 strikeouts. She began the week leading the GLVC in ERA, opponent batting average, wins, strikeouts and saves.
• Leonhardt closing in on strikeout, win record. Leonhardt begins the week needing just 40 strikeouts match
Brooke Harmening's all-time school record of 642 and is just six wins shy of Harmening's all-time school record for career victories (74).
• Hitting streaks. Johnson starts the week with a team-best six-game hitting streak. Johnson and senior shortstop
Taylor Ricketts each have recorded a team-high eight-game hitting streak this year.
