#13 Eagles change schedule next week due to weather
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The13th-ranked University of Southern Indiana baseball team starts a string of 12-straight games away from home when it visits Nashville, Tennessee, to play two road games versus Trevecca Nazarene University and a pair of neutral site games against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Screaming Eagles are set to play Trevecca Nazarene Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m., and UW-Parkside Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at Noon.
The Eagles also have changed their schedule for next week due to the forecast of inclement weather in Missouri. USI has cancelled its trip to Missouri Western State University, replacing the two-game series with singles games at 15th-ranked Georgia College and State University March 5 at 2 p.m. (CST) in Milledgeville, Georgia, and at Young Harris College March 6 at 2 p.m. (CST) in Young Harris, Georgia.

USI nationally in the polls. USI rose to 13th in the second regular season poll by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). The Midwest Region also was represented by the University of Illinois Springfield at number four and Ohio Dominican University at number 22.
USI sweeps Dunn Hospitality Classic. USI completed a four-game sweep of the Dunn Hospitality Classic to open the 2019 home schedule. The Eagles exploded offensively in the first two games, defeating Ohio Dominican, 15-3, and Truman State University, 20-1, before completing the sweep with a 6-2 and 5-0 win over Grand Valley State University. Ethan Hunter drove in a team-high 11 batters. Four of Hunter's team-high 11 RBIs came off his first career grand slam. USI senior left-hander

Archuleta at USI. USI Head Coach
Tracy Archuleta is USI's all-time winningest coach with a record of 451-237 in 12-plus seasons and is 590-381 in 17-plus seasons all-time as a head coach. He has been named the ABCA Division II Coach of the Year twice (2010 and 2014) after leading the Screaming Eagles to a pair of national championships and the ABCA Division II Midwest Region Coach of the Year after leading USI to the regional crown in 2007, 2016 and 2018. Archuleta also has earned a pair of GLVC Coach of the Year awards (2011 and 2014) at USI.
USI vs. Trevecca Nazarene. USI leads the all-time series with Trevecca Nazarene, 3-2. The Trojans won last series with USI in 2017, taking two of three from the Eagles. Trevecca Nazarene, currently, is 4-4 after losing three of its last four games.
USI vs. UW-Parkside. USI leads the all-time series with UW-Parkside, 50-27, with most of the games coming in GLVC regular season play between 1994 and 2018. The Eagles have won the last 15 meetings with the Rangers, including last season's record breaking game that saw USI win 34-9. The Rangers are 0-6 to start the 2019 campaign.
USI vs. Georgia College. USI trails the all-time series with Georgia College, 1-3, going 0-2 in the regular season and 1-1 in the 2010 NCAA II Baseball Championship when the Eagles won their first national championship. Georgia College, who hosts University of South Carolina-Aiken before hosting USI, is 9-4 to start 2019 and is on a five-game winning streak after snapping a four-game losing streak.
USI vs. Young Harris. USI lost the only meeting with Young Harris, 9-7, in 2017. The Mountain Lions, who play Cedarville University (Feb. 28), the University of North Carolina Pembroke (Mar. 1-3), and Carsen Newman University (Mar. 5) prior to playing USI, is 8-6 and 5-2 in the last seven games.
