EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana Women's Basketball can clinch its second straight Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division title and have a shot at gaining the No. 1 overall seed in next week's GLVC Tournament as it enters the final week of the 2017-18 regular-season.
USI (23-2, 15-1 GLVC), which secures the out-right East Division title with one win, visits the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Somers, Wisconsin, and Lewis University Saturday at 1 p.m. in Romeoville, Illinois.

USI Women's Basketball Notes (2/20/18)
• Eagles begin four-game road trip with two wins. USI Women's Basketball began its season-long four-game road trip with a 67-54 victory over William Jewell Thursday and an 81-72 triumph over Rockhurst Saturday. The Eagles increased their season-long win streak to 12 games, their longest since they collected 12 straight victories in 2009-10 and their second-longest winning streak since they won 15 straight in 2000-01.
• Last week's leaders. Senior guard/forward
Kaydie Grooms averaged 20.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game to lead the Eagles, while senior forward
Morgan Dahlstrom chipped in 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest. Junior guard
Alex Davidson averaged 13.0 points per outing.
• Grooms nets GLVC weekly award. Grooms earned her first-career GLVC Player of the Week honor for her efforts in USI's wins over William Jewell and Rockhurst. It is the third time this year a USI Women's Basketball player has earned the accolade after Dahlstrom collected GLVC Player of the Week laurels twice this year.
• USI can clinch East Division. The Eagles can clinch the GLVC East Division title for the second straight year with one win in their last two games.
• Dahlstrom lighting up the nets. Dahlstrom has been efficient as of late, shooting 68.3 percent (56-82) from the field in the last six games. She has shot 50.0 percent or better in eight straight games and 10 of the last 11 contests.
• Efficient fourth quarters. USI is shooting 63.2 percent (48-76) in the fourth quarters of its last six games.
• Grooms hitting career milestones. Grooms passed Casey Hughes for fifth on USI's all-time scoring list Thursday night and became the 15th player in program history to reach 500 career rebounds. She now has 1,458 points and 510 rebounds.
• Dahlstrom closing in on milestone. Dahlstrom needs just 18 points to become the 18th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau and the sixth player to reach the 1,000-point and 700-rebound marks.
• 12-game win streak. During the Eagles' 12-game win streak, Dahlstrom is leading the Eagles with 17.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game, while Grooms is chipping in 17.6 points per contest.
• Where do they stand? Heading into the final week of the regular-season, USI and Drury are tied atop the GLVC Tournament Point Ratings System with a 4.66 points average. Lewis (4.18) is third. The top eight teams will qualify for the GLVC Tournament based on the point rating system, which is detailed on page 9 of this week's notes.
• Eagles third in region. The Eagles are ranked third in the first of three NCAA II Midwest Region rankings. The rankings help determine the eight-team field—which consists of five at-large and three automatic qualifiers—for the NCAA II Midwest Regional.
• USI in the Top 25. USI moved one spot to No. 9 in the latest Division II Media Poll and No. 14 in the latest USA Today Sports/NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll. The Eagles are No. 9 in the latest Herosports.com Division II rankings and No. 10 in the Massey Ratings.
• Perfect correlation? USI just closed out its third perfect home schedule in program history as it ended the 2017-18 slate with a 15-0 record. The Eagles also were 15-0 at the PAC when they advanced to the NCAA II championship game in 1996-97 and 14-0 when they earned their second trip to the NCAA II Elite Eight in 2000-01.
• What's ahead? USI ends the regular-season with trips to East Division opponents UW-Parkside (Thursday) and Lewis (Saturday).
• Senior success. Dahlstrom, Grooms and Harshbarger have helped lead USI to an 85-27 overall record and a 52-17 mark in GLVC play in the last four years. They have played in a combined 320 games, recording 2,917 points, 1,469 rebounds, 657 assists, 134 blocks and 441 steals.
• A look at UW-Parkside. Junior guard Ali Bettencourt averages 14.4 points per game to lead the Rangers (8-19, 4-11 GLVC), who have lost five straight games and 11 of the last 13.
• A look at Lewis. Junior forward Jessica Kelliher averages an NCAA Division II-best 25.1 points per game to lead the Flyers (21-6, 14-3 GLVC), who have won four of the last five games.
• Record book watch. Four players are in currently in USI's record books:
