Eagles look to get back on track versus OCU. The Eagles hope to break a two-game losing skid and get back on track when they host Oakland City. USI Baseball and the GLVC. Last week's 2-4 road swing dropped USI from a tie for second to fifth in the GLVC East Division. The Screaming Eagles, who start this week's GLVC action a game out of second place and a berth in the conference tournament, need to win at least five of the last eight league games to have a shot at the post-season.
Holder has the hot hand on the mound. Former GLVC Pitcher of the Week and junior right-hander
Alex Holder (Princeton, Indiana) has had the hot hand for the Eagles in his last two starts. Holder, who threw a one-hitter against the University of Indianapolis on April 4, is 4-0 with a 1.91 ERA, winning each of his last three starts.

Ben Wright (Newburgh, Indiana) has been moving up in the Eagles' record book. Wright, currently, ranks first in games started, second in innings pitched, seventh in wins, and 10
th in strikeouts all-time at USI.

Matt Chavarria (Carlsbad, New Mexico) is attempting to break the 40-year old USI career-record for ERA. Chavarria, currently, has a 1.47 career ERA, 1.18 better than the John Warner's (1972-75) mark of 2.65.

Tracy Archuleta has a USI record of 328-169 (.660) in eight-plus seasons and is 476-293 (.619) in 13-plus seasons as a head coach. He has been named the ABCA Division II Coach of the Year twice (2010 and 2014) after leading the Screaming Eagles to a pair of national championships. He also has earned a pair of GLVC Coach of the Year awards (2011 and 2014).
USI vs. OCU. The Eagles lead the all-time series with the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City, 84-11, despite losing the first meeting of 2015 in March. USI has won eight of the last 10 meetings with Oakland City, dating back to 2006.
USI vs. McKendree. The Eagles lead the all-time series with the Bearcats of McKendree, 22-11, after splitting the four-game series last spring in Lebanon, Illinois. USI has won six of the eight match-ups with McKendree since the Bearcats joined the GLVC.
USI vs. KWC. The Eagles lead the all-time series with the Panthers of KWC, 94-63, and are playing the first games with KWC since USI swept a pair of doubleheaders in 2013. USI has a 16-6 record against KWC since 2007.
