UPDATED: Mother Nature derails USI baseball again

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the third straight weekend, Mother Nature has derailed the scheduled University of Southern Indiana baseball home opener with snow and inclement weather. Wednesday's winter storm has forced the cancelation of the Dunn Hospitality Classic, which was to run March 6-8 and feature USI (1-2), Quincy University, the University of Indianapolis, and Trevecca Nazarene University.

The Screaming Eagles will not reschedule their portion of the classic. USI is slated to host Notre Dame College (Ohio) Tuesday at 4 p.m. and Wednesday at 1 p.m. in games that were added to the 2015 schedule.

In this week's national polls, USI is ranked second in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper/ABCA Top 30 poll and fourth in the National Collegiate
