EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team is set to host its final homestand of 2015 when the Screaming Eagles welcome Truman State University and Quincy University to Strassweg Field this weekend. The Screaming Eagles are slated to kick off against Truman State Friday at 5 p.m. and versus Quincy University Sunday at noon.

Week 7 Eagle Notes: Eagles were blanked on road trip. The Eagles suffered a pair of setbacks on last week's road trip, falling to Lewis University, 1-0, and to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 4-1. Freshman defender

GLVC Tournament possibilities. USI is still in the hunt to earn a spot in the upcoming Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The Eagles need to make up 3.5 games in the final five conference games to qualify for the tournament that is made up of the top eight teams in the league.

Ryley Hancock are tied for the team-lead in scoring with eight points each. Vellky has eight points on three goals and two assists, while Hancock has two goals and a team-high four assists. The Eagles, currently, have a three-way tie for the team-high in goals scored between Vellky, junior defender

Emily Hopkins (Greenfield, Indiana) saw her goals against average fall to 1.50 after this weekend. She has made 67 saves and allowed 18 goals in 1079 minutes of play.
Engelbrecht in her 13th year. USI Head Coach
Krissy Engelbrecht has a 93-115-19 overall record at USI, but is 56-52-7 in her last six-plus seasons.
USI and Truman State. The Eagles trail the all-time series with Truman State, 4-1-1, after losing to the Bulldogs, 2-1 in overtime, on the road last fall. USI won the last meeting with Truman State at Strassweg Field, 1-0, in 2013.
Truman State in 2015. The Bulldogs are 8-1-4 overall, 7-0-3 in the GLVC, and are second in the league standings. The GLVC coaches picked Truman State to finish third in this year's preseason poll.
USI and Quincy. USI trails 12-6-1 in the all-time series against Quincy after losing a 2-0 decision to the Hawks on the road last fall. The Hawks have won eight of the last nine meetings with the Eagles winning at home, 1-0 in overtime, in 2011.
Quincy in 2015. The Hawks, whose stopover at 14
th-ranked Bellarmine University Friday night before visiting the Eagles, are 8-2-3 overall and 5-2-3 in the GLVC after posting a 2-2-1 mark in the last five matches. The GLVC coaches predicted Quincy would finish fifth in this year's preseason poll.
