Four earn NCAA provisional times at Indiana Relays

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--- University of Southern Indiana indoor track and field sophomores Tyler Pence, Johnnie Guy and Tyler Schickel, along with senior Solomon Bennett posted NCAA provisional times in their respected events this weekend at the Indiana Relays hosted by Indiana University.
 
Pence and Guy lead the pack, earning second and third place finishes, respectively, in the men's 5,000 meters race. It was a close finish between the two with Pence crossing the finish line at 14 minutes, 15.20 seconds, followed by Guy at 14 minutes, 15.38 seconds.
 
Schickel ended the day with a second place finish in the men's mile, clocking in a four minutes, 11.21 seconds.
 
Bennett rounds out the group of four, earning ninth place with a time of eight minutes, 21.62 seconds in the men's 3,000 meters race. He joins both Pence and Guy, who posted provisional times in the same event last weekend at the Gladstein Invitational. 
 
Next week, the Screaming Eagles compete at the Vulcan Invitational, hosted by Samford University, Friday and Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama, as well as the UIndy Relay Open, hosted by the University of Indianapolis, Saturday in Indianapolis.
