SURPRISE, Ariz. – The 31
st ranked University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team won all three doubles points, but could not get a singles win as the Screaming Eagles lost to No. 14 University of California, San Diego 5-3 at the NCAA Championships.
It is the first defeat for USI since a 5-3 March 21 loss at Northwest Missouri State University.

Jack Joyce got things going at No.2 doubles when they won 8-2. Sophomore
Michael Kuzaj and senior
Juan Quiroz took the next point with a 9-8 victory.
USI then finished off doubles when senior
Rodrigo Flores and junior
Santiago Lopez downed their foe 9-7.
Boesing and Lopez each won their first set in singles 6-4 and 6-3 respectively, while Flores was a winner 7-6. However, all three lost their second set before Boesing and Lopez dropped the decisive third to give the Tritons a victory.
USI ends the season at 17-5, while UCSD goes to 13-10.
