Drury, which entered Sunday's game with the best record in the GLVC West Division, cut the Eagles' lead in half with a tally in the sixth inning, but USI got a bases-loaded walk issued to sophomore centerfielder

Kara Werner to take a 5-2 cushion into the seventh inning.
Harmening (7-4), who had a double and scored on Werner's hit in the sixth inning, retired the Panthers in order in the seventh inning to record the complete-game victory. Harmening allowed two runs off seven hits, while striking out six batters.
In game two, the Eagles got an RBI-single off the bat of senior third baseman/designated player

USI returns to action Wednesday at 1 p.m. when it hosts GLVC East Division rival Kentucky Wesleyan College in a doubleheader at the USI Softball Field. The Panthers (5-11, 4-4 GLVC) split a doubleheader with Missouri University of Science & Technology Sunday in Owensboro, Kentucky.
