EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team begins its final homestand of the 2011-12 season Thursday at 5:15 p.m. when it hosts No. 19 University of Wisconsin-Parkside at the Physical Activities Center.
USI also hosts Lewis University Saturday at 1 p.m. for Homecoming and its WBCA “Play4Kay” game before concluding their home schedule February 16 against Bellarmine University for Senior Night. Fans are encouraged to wear pink Saturday to show support for breast cancer awareness.

The Screaming Eagles (7-14, 1-12 GLVC), who suffered a 72-53 road setback to the University of Indianapolis this past Saturday, are looking to buck a four-game losing streak when they host the Rangers of UW-Parkside Thursday. The Eagles have struggled offensively, averaging just 52.7 points in the last three contests and 57.0 points during their four-game losing streak.

Anna Hackert leads the Eagles with 10.4 points per contest; while freshman forward
Brooke Valentine is averaging a team-best 6.1 rebounds per appearance.
UW-Parkside (17-4, 10-3 GLVC) has won four straight games and 12 of its last 14 after edging Northern Kentucky University, 56-54, this past Saturday in Somers, Wisconsin.
Senior guard Jadee Rooney leads the Rangers with 16.1 points per appearance after scoring 22 points against the Norse Saturday; while senior forward Brittany Beyer is averaging 16.0 points per contest. Senior forward Amy Selk leads UW-Parkside with 6.1 rebounds per contest.

Nicole Hazemi had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead the Eagles in their first meeting with Lewis in December. Valentine added 10 points and seven rebounds, but the Flyers had four players in double figures and shot 60.0 percent from the field in the second half to earn a 72-53 victory in Romeoville, Illinois.
The Flyers (5-16, 3-10 GLVC), who visit Kentucky Wesleyan College Thursday in Owensboro, Kentucky, snapped a six-game skid with their 88-84 win over Bellarmine this past Saturday in Romeoville. Junior guard Labrenthia Murdock leads the Flyers with 10.1 points per contest, while freshman forward Jess Reinhart is averaging 9.8 points and a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game.
