EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team continues its search for its first Great Lakes Valley Conference victory of the 2011-12 campaign when it hosts the University of Indianapolis Thursday at 5:15 p.m. and Saint Joseph's College Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Physical Activities Center.
USI (6-9, 0-7 GLVC), which has lost six straight games and eight of its last nine, is coming off a tough 81-66 setback to rival Kentucky Wesleyan College Monday evening at the PAC.

Anna Hackert led the Screaming Eagles with 17 points, while senior guard/forward
Kristin Raker and sophomore guard
Stephanie Carpenter each chipped in 14 points.
Hackert, who had her best outing since returning from an ankle injury that sidelined her for a pair of games earlier this month, leads the Eagles with 11.2 points per game, while Raker is second on the team with 10.1 points per appearance. Freshman forward

Cootie Leeberg has dished out a team-best 2.3 assists per outing.
Indianapolis (12-3, 6-1 GLVC), which is receiving votes in the latest
USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, took over sole possession of first place in the GLVC East Division with its 72-42 victory over Saint Joseph's College Monday evening in Indianapolis.
Junior forward Nickole Gosner and sophomore guard Katy McIntosh led the Greyhounds in the win with 15 points apiece, while the reigning GLVC Player of the Week, junior guard Kristin Turner, added 12 points and five assists. For the season, Turner leads the Greyhounds with 17.4 points per contest, while McIntosh is chipping in 10.3 points and a team-high 2.9 assists per game. Junior forward Sydney Weinert also is averaging 10.3 points per game to go with a team-high 7.1 rebounds and a conference-best 3.3 blocks per outing.
Indianapolis leads the all-time series with the Eagles, 33-26, and is 12-7 in the series since 2000 after taking two-of-three from USI last season. The Greyhounds defeated USI 101-100 in triple overtime last year at the PAC and posted an 85-74 win in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament at the PAC. USI defeated the Greyhounds, 60-58, last year in Indianapolis.
USI leads the all-time series with Saint Joseph's, 31-23, and is 15-3 in the series since 2000 after posting an 82-66 win over the Pumas last year in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Saint Joseph's (11-4, 5-2 GLVC), which also is receiving votes in the latest national rankings, saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end with its loss at Indianapolis Monday. The Pumas, who visit Kentucky Wesleyan Thursday in Owensboro, Kentucky, got 17 points from senior guard Britney Cruse and eight rebounds from senior guard Montrell Mills in the loss.
Cruse leads the Pumas with16.0 points per game, while Mills is contributing 15.4 points per contest as well as a team-high 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per appearance.
