Behind the play of junior guard Lauren Meneghetti, the Eagles battled back, cutting the deficit to 10 points with just over 13 minutes to play in the contest. Meneghetti scored 15 of her team-high 17 points in the final 20 minutes to bring USI to within striking distance.
