EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team returns to action Saturday when it hosts rival Kentucky Wesleyan College at 5:15 p.m. at the Physical Activities Center.

USI (11-7, 4-7 GLVC), which has lost four of its last five games, is looking to reach the 70-point plateau for the first time in six games. The Screaming Eagles are 8-2 when scoring 70 or more points, but just 3-5 when not reaching the 70-point plateau.

The Screaming Eagles, who have won the last 20 meetings with the Panthers, are in a battle with KWC for the last spot in the GLVC Tournament. KWC, which plays the University of Missouri-St. Louis tonight in St. Louis, is currently 9-9 overall and 4-7 in the GLVC.

Leading the Eagles into Saturday's contest is senior guard Jamie Truitt (Owensboro, Kentucky) and junior forward Sabrina Brandon (Danville, Indiana). Truitt is averaging a team-best 14.2 points per game, but is coming off an outing in which she was held to just two points and one field goal.

Brandon has scored in double figures in each of the last nine games and has averaged a team-best 15.1 points per contest during that time. For the season, Brandon is second on the team with 12.0 points per game.

Senior forward/center Andrea Engleking (Charlottesville, Indiana) is third on the team with 11.2 points per game and leads the team with 5.3 rebounds per contest.

The Panthers have got off to their best start in since the 1999-2000 season, when they finished 12-14 overall, 9-11 in the GLVC. They already have won more games this season than they have in any season since 1999-2000.

Freshman forward LaTasha Henry leads the Panthers with 11.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, while freshman guard/forward Laura McClintic is second on the team with 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per outing.
