The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team took second in the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational Sunday at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.
In a preview of the GLVC Tournament that is scheduled for April 12-13, the Screaming Eagles posted a team 305. USI was 13 strokes behind Lewis University, who won the invitational with a 292, and two strokes better than third place Northern Kentucky University, which recorded a one-round 307.
USI was led by junior Craig Toler (Mowcaqua, Illinois), who tied for third with a 73. He was followed senior Nathan Wolfe (Henderson, Kentucky) with a 76.
The Eagles return to action Monday and Tuesday, March 29-30, in the Bellarmine University Invitational at Persimmon Ridge Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky. USI has one more tournament, the University of Indianapolis Invitational that was postponed from the fall Tuesday, April 6, before the GLVC Tournament.
