The University of Southern Indiana golf team placed 16th in the second NCAA Division II District IV Tournament of year with a team two-day total of 656 (328, 328). The Eagles placed 15th in the first district tournament last fall. The final district tournament is scheduled for Sunday and Monday, April 20-21.
Individually, junior Zach Smith (Evansville, Indiana) led USI with a two-day 160 (76, 84) and placed 32nd.
The next action for the Eagles will Saturday, March 29, in the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational. The tournament will be played at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.
