The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team put together its best back-to-back rounds of the fall to win the USI Invitational at Helfrich Golf Course in Evansville, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles finished the tournament with a two-day 587 after shooting a 10-over 298 on Tuesday.
Leading the way for the Eagles is juniorÂ
Nathan Wolfe (Henderson, Kentucky). Wolfe tied for second individually with a 145 after shooting a 75 on Tuesday. Wolfe's 70 in the first round tied for the best round of the tournament and tied for the lead after the first day.
Joining Wolfe in the top 10 are seniorsÂ
Andy Skodinski (Evansville, Indiana) andÂ
Ryan Overby (Providence, Kentucky), each shooting a 147 to tie for fifth. Skodinski bounced into the top 10 with a 74 on Monday and a 73 on Tuesday. Overby, who was fourth with a 71 on Monday, fell one slot on Tuesday with a 76.
A stroke behind Skodinski and Overby was freshmanÂ
Michael Bradshaw (Boonville, Indiana). Bradshaw finished the two-day tournament with a 148, shooting a four-over 76 and an even par 72.
The USI Invitational concludes the fall for the men's golf team. The Eagles cancelled their trip to the Ohio Valley Intercollegiate that was scheduled for October 11-12.
