The seventh-ranked University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team is looking to extend its season-long winning streak to eight games as it travels to Kenosha, Wisconsin to take on the University of Wisconsin-Parkside tomorrow evening. The Screaming Eagles enter the contest with a 14-3 overall record, 7-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Lady Rangers enter with a 3-10 overall record, 3-6 in the GLVC.

Leading the way for the Eagles is sophomore forward Jessica Stuckman (Quincy, Illinois) and senior guard Jasmine Moore (Chicago, Illinois). Stuckman leads the GLVC with 20.2 points per game while Moore is adding 13.4 points to go along with a team-high 4.6 assists and 3.6 steals per game. Moore is coming off a 24-point performance against SIU Edwardsville.

USI has dominated this series, winning all of the 12 meetings between the two teams. The Eagles defeated UWP, 77-60, at the Physical Activities Center earlier this season.

In the 12 meetings with the Lady Rangers, USI's average margin of victory is 28.2 points. USI has forced UWP into 25.9 turnovers a game in the 12 meetings.

Coming into the contest, the Eagles are forcing 30.5 turnovers per game. In their first meeting with UWP, the Eagles forced 29 turnovers and held the Lady Rangers to a total of 44 shots in the game.

USI, which leads the conference in scoring average (83.1 ppg), will need strong performances on the boards if it is to continue its winning streak. USI lost the battle of the boards in the first meeting with the Lady Rangers and a repeat performance could hamper USI's plans.

In the Eagles' three losses this season, they have been out-rebounded by an average of 11.3 per game. During the seven-game winning streak, the Eagles have bettered their opponents by an average of 1.7 boards per game.

Junior forward/center Africa Sherrod (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) leads the team with 6.7 rebounds per game. Sherrod has stepped up during USI's win streak, averaging 7.7 rebounds and 14.3 points (12.4 ppg for the season).

Senior center Michelle Irwin (Louisville, Kentucky) also has been contributing on the boards for the Eagles. Irwin is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game this season and 6.4 in the last seven games.

The Eagles also will need more scoring support from senior forward Casey Hughes (Bicknell, Indiana) and sophomore guard Erin Wall (New Albany, Indiana). Hughes is adding 10.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while Wall is tapping in with 8.5 points per contest.

Wall is second in the GLVC in three-point shooting after knocking down 8-of-10 shots from behind the arc in two games last week. She averaged 15.0 points in those two contests.

Leading the UWP scoring attack is freshman forward Sammy Kromm and sophomore guard Michele Pickering. Kromm is pouring in a team-high 14.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while Pickering is dishing in 10.6 points and a team-high 3.2 assists per contest.

Tomorrow evening's game is scheduled for a 5:15 p.m. tip-off.
