Ryan McDaniel enters his eighth season with the USI men's tennis team, assisting Head Coach Chris Crawford in all facets of the program.
McDaniel was named the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2013 after helping lead the Screaming Eagles to a NCAA Division II Preliminary Round championship and an appearance in the NCAA II Championships. The Eagles also won the GLVC championship in 2013.Â
Prior to joining the coaching staff, McDaniel  played for the Eagles between 2004-05 to 2006-07, helping the team to the GLVC Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2005. He also combined with Andrew McGuire in doubles to record a perfect 4-0 GLVC mark in 2006-07.
The native of Greenwood, Indiana, came to USI from Center Grove High School where he helped the tennis team to the programs first state title.Â
McDaniel has level one USTA Sports Science Certification and serves on the USPTAÂ U30Â Midwest Coaches Committee. He also is the head pro at the Evansville Tennis Center, primarily developing high performance juniors.
