EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Golf travels to Yorktown, Indiana, for the Ball State University Brittany Kelly Classic on Monday and Tuesday for the Screaming Eagles' first stroke-play tournament of the year.
 
The Screaming Eagles are playing in the Brittany Kelly Classic for the first time in school history. The event is at The Players Club at Woodland Trails, a par-72 measuring at 6,291 yards. Teams will play two rounds on Monday, followed by the final round on Tuesday. Both days are scheduled for a shotgun start, with Monday beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT and Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m. CT.
 
The 15 teams competing in the classic are host Ball State, Ashland University, Campbell University, University of Dayton, Eastern Illinois University, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Indiana University Indianapolis, Lindenwood University, Morehead State University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Notre Dame, University of Illinois-Chicago, Valparaiso University, Western Illinois University, and USI.
 
Two weeks ago, USI opened its 2026-27 schedule competing in the Midwest Match Play Championship in Jackson, Michigan. The Screaming Eagles earned a second-place finish with a 2-1 record, capturing wins against the University of Detroit Mercy and host Purdue University Fort Wayne. Freshman Kaidyn Wardlaw was named the Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week following her performance at the match-play event, where she went undefeated in her individual head-to-head matches. Wardlaw carded nine birdies across the two-day competition.
 
The team looks to build upon the season-opening performance. USI's scoring lineup this week at the Brittany Kelly Classic will be junior Brianna Kirsch, sophomore McKenna Lowe, junior Fernanda Vera, junior Elizabeth Mercer, and senior Tora Timinsky. Wardlaw will compete in the classic as an individual.
