EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis lost, 6-1, in the opening match of the Horizon League schedule to Tennessee Tech University on Tuesday afternoon.
Doubles
The Golden Eagles claimed the doubles after winning all three matches. The first USI pair to lose was the number two slot,
Axel Sabourin and
Kalani Hibbert (6-2). Senior
Mathys Bove and sophomore
Adam Koon on the three slot (6-3). Last to lose was the one slot,
Jy Hibbert and
Aaron Dawson (6-3).
Singles
TTU recorded victory on five out of six courts, with Bove claiming the lone USI point as the No. 3 singles player in a tough three-set win (3-6, 6-4, 10-6). This marks Bove's fifth win of the season. On the number two singles court, Dawson took his match to three sets, coming close in a tough tiebreaker set (3-6, 7-5, 8-10).
