EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis drops a close match against Austin Peay State University Saturday afternoon, 4-3.
 
Doubles
The Governors quickly secured the doubles point with wins in the number one and two slots. Axel Sabourin and Aaron Dawson dropped their match 6-0, and Jy Hibbert and Kalani Hibbert also fell 6-0.
 
Singles
The Screaming Eagles took wins in three out of the six singles matches, taking all but one match to a third set tiebreaker. Sophomore Adam Koon marked his first singles win of the season claiming the first Eagle win of the match (6-3, 7-6 (7-1)).  Next to add a point to the board was fellow sophomore Hibbert on the singles four court in a close three set win (4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0). Fighting for his first victory till the last point was junior Dawson on the number two slot (4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2).
 
 
Next up for the Eagles
The Screaming Eagles are back in action for a series of games next weekend taking on Northern Kentucky University on Saturday at 1 p.m., then Earlham College on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at Evansville Tennis Center.
