EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis secured their first victory of the season against Northern Kentucky University Saturday afternoon, 4-3, at Evansville Tennis Center.

Doubles
USI did not manage to secure the doubles point, giving NKU a one point advantage going into the singles matches. However,
Mathys Bove and
Adam Koon were the first to match to finish on the doubles three court in a dominant 6-1 victory. The pair continue their undefeated streak this season, moving to 3-0 in doubles matches.

Singles
NKU managed to secure the first two wins in the singles rounds, taking wins over senior
Axel Sabourin on the first slot and
Jy Hibbert on the four court.
The Screaming Eagles managed to fight back to take the win, claiming victory in the final four singles matches. First to add a point to the board was
Aaron Dawson, in a confident 6-2, 6-2 win to mark his second singles win in a row.
Senior Bove, won on the singles three court for the third time this season, in a strong 7-6, 6-2 win. Then to tie up the score, sophomore Koon claimed a tight three set win on the singles five court (2-6, 6-2, 6-2).
Last to finish and clinch the Eagle victory was freshman
Kalani Hibbert in a closely fought three set win (7-5, 3-6, 7-5). The win marks Hibbert's first win of the season and his collegiate career.

Next Up
The Screaming Eagles are back on the road for the final weekend of February. They are set to take on Brescia University on February 27 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Then USI will head to University of Missouri- St. Louis on February 28
th for a 1 p.m. match.
