EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Golf travels to Jonesboro, Arkansas, for the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at RidgePointe Country Club, hosted by Arkansas State University.
 
USI's appearance in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate is its first since the 2024-2025 season, when the team finished sixth. The Screaming Eagles will play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday. Both days will feature a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. RidgePoint Country Club is a par 72 measuring 6,676 yards.
 
USI will be joined by host Arkansas State, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Austin Peay State University, University of Central Arkansas, University of Evansville, University of the Incarnate Word, Louisiana State University at New Orleans, Lindenwood University, Murray State University, North Carolina Central University, Nicholls State University, University of Northern Iowa, Southeastern Louisiana University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Tennessee State University. The University of Memphis will compete individually in the intercollegiate event.
 
The Screaming Eagles' appearance is just a week after finishing second at the Coyote Creek Classic in Bartonville, Illinois. The Screaming Eagles finished with a 16-over 868 (292-289-287), just five strokes back of tournament host and winner Bradley University, which posted 863 (278-298-287). 
 
Individually, graduate student Jonas Arnstrom-Bakker, sophomore Ingtawan Wangrungwichaisri, and freshman Loic Simard each earned top-10 finishes. Arnstrom-Bakker notched his first top-five as a Screaming Eagle and his second consecutive top-10 after finishing tied for fourth at even-par 213 (70-73-70). Wangrungwichaisri also recorded his second top-10 of the year after placing seventh with a two-over 215 (74-73-68), while Simard carded his first career top-10 with an eighth-place finish at five-over 218 (73-70-75).
 
Following his impressive outing at the Coyote Creek Classic, Arnstrom-Bakker was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Golfer of the Week, earning his career honor as a Screaming Eagle and the first this year for USI Men's Golf.
 
Armstrom-Bakker, Wangrungwichaisri, and Simard will be joined in the scoring lineup this week at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate by junior Alex Peck and sophomore Weston Hardy. Senior Hunter Reynolds will compete individually.
